01 Kickoff & Strategic Vision

The Mandate

Click any card to reveal detailed context.

The corporate directive is to migrate from reactive buying to strategic planning. Success depends on securing long-term transformer manufacturing capacity by merging historical consumption data with 5-year sales projections, standardizing operations, and automating manual processes previously proven in Mexico plants.
Replication of Mexico's automated mass PO import tool to eliminate manual buyer overload. Imminent rollout of a Corporate Scorecard to transparently track unconfirmed orders and delayed lines, standardizing accountability across all US plants while isolating technical Engineering delays (late copy bills) from buyer KPIs.
⚡ Immediate
Launch Corporate Scorecard pilot (Georgia plant) to audit open orders.
Conduct alignment sessions with buyers to set operational expectations.
📅 Short-Term
Integrate 2027 forecasting using historical data and business unit projections.
Deploy the mass PO import tool to reduce administrative stress.
🎯 Mid-Term
Secure supplier capacity via long-term contractual agreements.
Restructure cross-departmental metrics so Engineering delays do not penalize purchasing KPIs.
